Double Page Spread.

This a attempt of a full scale double page spread, its the same length as a A1 sheet. And it turns out I may have too go large as a couldn't get at some detail on the 'Booma' on Saturn and he just looks a couple of pen marks and black watercolour!.

I'm happy with composition though and the colour palette. I think I'm going to do this one again as its very untidy around the edges and with the character. Although I'm not happy with the blue sky and fields as they seem very flat.

More later.

Tiny sketch.

Initial sketch of the piano. Is seriously tiny, like an inch tall. It was done in Calligraphy ink with dipping pen, underneath there is pencil.

The Piano player to cheer up the stars!

Hey.

This illustration was a concept drawing. Its was to show 'Booma' cheering up the stars after seeing they weren't happy sitting there all night and day. And he uses his imagination to create a Grand Piano.

Not too sure whether or not I'm happy with this drawing. I'm definatley going to do it again but the full illustration with the stars and Saturn in it. I'll post this soonish, when Ive completed it.

Look an aeroplane!!

Hey.

This is a illustration a did quite a while ago, over the summer I believe. It was a a take on Oliver Jeffer's work 'The way back home'. Same plane different character. This was before I decided I didn't like the colour of my character, blue I didnt feel it worked very well. Well not as much as I think the orabge/yellow does.

Cheers Guy.

Booma and Boat.

Hey.

This is a illustration I did yesterday. Its taken from a smaller sketch I did earlier on and thought it had potential for a full scale illustration.
The actually image is based around mine character 'Booma' and he is in his 'Moonbox'. The 'Moonbox' being the main basis of my story. Where it can change into anything Booma and his child like imagination will take him.

I've used pencil, watercolour and pencil crayon to create this drawing.

Online sketchbook of sorts.

Hi all and welcome.

I suppose the aim of this blog is to provide myself with a online sketchbook/portfolio. I'll be posting up latest sketch's, paintings and research and basically what I've been up during my project.

That's really it, take a look for yourself.

Cheers Guy.
